Part 1: Part one was communicating with out any verbal sound and it was harder than I thought. During the 15 minutes I was with my family. It was pretty hard to ask for certain things without speaking, For example asking for what flavor of ice cream you want without saying it is hard for the person who is trying to communicate and others. Using hand gestures made it a little easier because you could point at stuff but it was still hard. Part 2: This part was also difficult because I speak with my hands a lot. Using vocal expressions made it easier than part 1 but it was still very difficult. Not being able to use hand gestures was really strange for me. When I was doing this I had to sit on my hands so I wouldn't use them. For the others involved they did not know what was going on and it made it hard to communicate. Part A 1. The Adean Indians live in the South Americas Andes mountains, this mountain region covers countries such as Columbia, Ecuador and Chile. In Colombia it is it is more like a forest , it tends to be more rainy and wet. While in Ecuador it is is more of a dry and hot climate, in Chile it is has the hottest climate of 71 degrees. The Zulu people are located in South Africa so it means their seasons are the opposite of ours. 1. Diversity: Diversity is a word that stood about to me because of how diverse the world is. This word is powerful because it shows how different cultures are but that different can mean beautiful. When I think of this word I paint this beautiful image in my mind of different cultures coming together in harmony. Diversity being applied to the Naciema means that they are different but it can be a beautiful thing. 2. Rituals: When I think of this word tradition comes to mind. The Naciema have rituals that have been passed down. For example they have some when it comes to woman and having them line up for men. Woman when they are expecting also have the tradition to cover up. This shows that they have a rich culture with rituals and traditions passed down. 3.Imitate: The poorer families try to imitate the richer families.
